Our Legacy
50 Years of Spandan

Since 1975, Spandan has been one of Vadodara’s earliest and most dedicated institutions supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Established by The Banyan City Jaycees Education Trust, Spandan began as a small initiative rooted in compassion and commitment, and over the years has evolved into a fully equipped center offering a comprehensive range of developmental services.

At Spandan, we provide individualized education, therapy, and skill-based training designed to help children achieve greater independence and confidence. From learning everyday life skills to effective communication and self-care, our programs are tailored to each child’s unique abilities and aspirations. What started with just 12 children and 2 special educators has grown into an integrated facility offering multiple specialized therapies and programs- all under one centralized, supportive environment.

To create an inclusive world where every child with special needs receives the opportunity to learn, grow, become self-reliant and lead a dignified life.

Our Mission

To provide holistic education, therapy and vocational training in a safe environment, fostering independence, confidence, and social integration among specially abled individuals supported by a professional team, equipped with affordable, state-of-the-art facilities.

Message from President

As Spandan prepares to conclude its landmark 50th Golden Jubilee year this December, I am deeply honored to return as President. Having journeyed alongside this institution since its very inception as a founder trustee, my vision remains steadfast: to foster absolute independence and provide the finest possible education for our exceptional children.

True progress requires a powerful, united community. We earnestly seek our parents to work hand-in-glove with our dedicated teachers to champion the daily growth of our children with cerebral palsy and autism, while courageously encouraging them to step into mainstream jobs.

Simultaneously, we invite visionary industries to partner with us, not only by purchasing our premium vocational products for corporate gifting, but also by creating inclusive employment opportunities and financially supporting our critical projects through CSR initiatives.

Our Vocational Training Centre proudly empowers 75 resilient young adults earning stipends through beautiful craftsmanship, while our Academy of Excellence champions inclusivity across Baroda.

Together with our dedicated parents, we are transforming possibilities into independence. Join us in shaping a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow.
